Why do employers act differently as soon as you announce your pregnancy?

Jennifer • Boy mom 👦🏻🧑🏻‍🦲with three little 👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻

In 26 weeks pregnant and feel like my employer is pushing me out the door. I am an excellent employee and there are numerous people who aren’t on the same level as me. I’ve literally had task taken away from me with no explanation, if a task needs to be done i am the last person he’ll go too, now my desk is going to moved miles away from my direct team. I am literally being alienated by my team. I would say it’s bc my boss is a male but he was very accommodating a few years back with a girl on the team. Usually alienated employees end up getting eliminated.I work for a large insurance company. I watch people on other teams end up being successful while pregnant. I am unsure why this is happening to me. Is it bc I am shy? Goes to show hard working means nothing in the long run, it pays off to be a$$ kisser who sucks at their job.
