hyperemesis gravidarum?

yesterday i was sent to the hospital for severe dehydration and was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum i work a full time job and was wondering if any mamas had any tips on how to keep it under control cause im having a hard time even stepping 2 feet from the toilet or trash

I had it rough with both of my pregnancies. Zofran was what helped me the first time. And diclegis for the second. The second I had to get ivs 2x a week and a zofran pump with an at home iv. I used intermittent fmla so that if I had to be late to work or leave early it didn’t hurt me.

Ask your doctor to give you something for nausea. I’m still taking zofran 1-2 times a day at 23 weeks due to HG

I had a really hard time with it. Work pressured me to "not be working with pregnancy symptoms". Things got better at 12 weeks and then cleared up by 16 weeks. It was the hardest thing!! Good luck!

I had it and had to have 8 weeks off work and my mum came to help look after me and my daughter! it's horrible! just try and sip water to avoid getting dehydrated again! but go in to the hospital for fluids as much as you need!!! it helped me! the medication didn't really do a hell of a lot for me! I lived on toast. you have to find the food that sits well for you, everyone is different! I'm finally feeling better and I'm 16 weeks! look after yourself!!
