What do I do?
I’m currently 36 & 6.. I recently moved down from another state to Arkansas-quite suddenly-after finding out my husband’s position was being reorganized. I was denied by 17 doctors for care at 32 weeks because I was over 28 weeks (5 weeks ago) and finally found a doctor who would see me and deliver me, but here is the problem. I was told I would have a $200 deposit on my first appointment and that would save me a spot. On my second appointment, they asked me how I was going to make my payment.. And I said “I made the $200 payment last appointment”. They said.. “No, your $539 payment for May. It says here on your payment plan that you split the amount into two payments of $539.”
This is when I found out they are asking me to pay my doctor’s fees for delivery in advance or I will not be seen. I understand that this is my deductible I am paying, however no one told me I would be paying this bill in advance? They said it needs to be paid before delivery. I cannot afford that bill any time soon. With my daughter, I was not billed for my birth for 2 months. All fees were included on one bill. The clinic is having me pay $1078.22 up front and said I will be billed by the hospital separately. They made a “payment plan” for me.

What are my options? Can I choose not to deliver with my doctor from this clinic and only pay their clinic for the prenatal appointments I have had? (2)
I am literally 1 day away from being full term. I have no idea what to do. I cannot pay that amount up front and they do not accept medicaid at this clinic and I wouldn’t be elligible for it anyway.
