Does anyone use a cloth diapering service?

There’s service in my area that delivers clean diapers and takes away the dirty ones on a weekly basis. It’s $20/week though. Has anyone used something like it? Was it worth it? Would you use it if it was available to you?
I really want to cloth diaper, but I’m planning on going back to work part time and don’t feel like I can commit to the washing process

In my opinion it’s totally not worth it. When you do the math it’s $1040 a year for them to wash. It wont even be a quarter of that added to your bills to do it yourself. A lot times those places don’t have great wash routines or use a bad soap. There are too many variables in that situation.

It’s one to two extra washes a week. The math wouldn’t add up and I find it really easy after the first practice wash.

We decided against, because the company in our area will not accept diapers with solid waste. You have to spray them out first. The cost is about the same either way, and we’ll have to handle the poop either way, so I really didn’t see any point 👎🏻

a good routine helps with stank,  my dipes go into buckets full of vinegar/ water during the week, separated pads from covers and a third for the wipes,  they all get washed once together,  then the pads get a second go,  I hang dry the covers and wipes, the pads go thru the dryer, occasionally  hung in the sun to bleach.

I used a local diaper service owned and operated by moms. It was $38 a week (I live in NYC) they provided all the diapers (I think like 75) and I just had to get covers. It was magical, the diaper fairies would come in the middle of the night and take my dirties and bring me clean ones. It was great. It was super helpful in the beginning when everything was overwhelming. Then after about 3 months I purchased my own diapers and have been home laundering. It’s definitely cheaper to wash myself but not cheaper than disposable. I have to pay per wash and dry so it ends up being about $10 per week to wash and dry but I’m still going strong. However it sucks to have to deal with stink issues and making sure they are clean. If I didn’t put tons of my own diapers I’d go back to the service. They used a great detergent and I toured their facility and took a Diapering 101
Class with them. I definitely recommend even if it’s just a short time
