last month, I was fitted a five year IUD. my doctor instructed me to keep being on the pill for another month for contraceptive measures.

as I took this last pill in, it felt a little weird I have to say. Like a page in my life just turned, this little insignificant pill that I have taken at 1 pm for the past 756 days. that's a very long commitment. longer than my longest relationship.

and so I want to congratulate other women out there who have made the choice to maybe change contraceptive methods! for some it's not a big deal, but for others (especially in my case of how much the fitting made me suffer haha) it can be, and it's not necessarily something that you can share out loud to the people around you 🌸
