Should pregnant women be acknowledged on Mother's Day?

Personally I feel pregnant women should be acknowledged on Mother's Day. They are already sacrificing their freedom, worried sick if the baby is alright, and stressed if they are doing everything right. I'm very interested in opinions so please comment below.

I personally don’t consider myself a mom yet and didn’t celebrate it, but if you do then celebrate. Why do you need validation for it?

If people think “dog moms” should be celebrated then pregnant women sure as hell should be too.

if you feel like it. I didn't feel like a mom while pregnant. but I don't see why this has to be decided and defined the same for everyone.

I honestly didn't even think about it. Some people still told me happy mother's day though.

My boyfriend made sure to tell me how much he loves me and say happy Mother’s Day when he got home from work yesterday. I didn’t expect him to say anything though considering I’m 9 months pregnant with my exes baby (I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 5 months). He also made sure to say he’s going to love my daughter and that he can’t wait for her to get here. So I mean, I didn’t exactly “celebrate” Mother’s Day as a mom but my boyfriend did make sure to acknowledge that I’m about to be a mom.

I definitely didn't expect anything from my husband as I was only a few weeks along but he surprised me with a card and flowers.

Who cares? To each his own. This is not something to fight over. If they want to celebrate, let them. If they don’t, that’s ok!

I think it’s a personal decision and one that should be discussed with ones significant other in advance to avoid confusion/resentment.
