Boating after baby?

Question

Ok so say I want to go boating and tubing a few weeks after baby is born? Healing wise is it smart/possible?? My baby girl is due end of June and my family LOVES boating. I’ll be not participating for majority of the summer due to being pregnant but I’m hoping I might be able to go after she’s born before my husband and I move away. (Baby will be hanging out with dad if I do go out on the water )

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and we took our boat out on Saturday. It was fine and I just rode around in the boat. We went to the lake when I was about 6-8 weeks postpartum with my first. I think I wake surfed a little, but honestly my boobs hurt from the milk filling up when I put on my life jacket, so I mostly just rode around in the boat. Baby stayed on the pontoon boat instead of our ski boat. I switched between boats to nurse and be in the shade. Well probably go to the lake at least a few times this summer after baby is born. I won’t be doing any activities until I get the clear from my doctor, and again, baby will mostly stay on the pontoon.

I definitely would not have wanted to do that a few weeks after birth but everyone is different!

For some it may be possible. My sisters mother didn't tear at all and was up and walking and doing whatever an hour after giving birth. I tore (2nd degree internal and external) so that wouldn't have been possible for me. My stitches didn't dissolve until about the 4th week and I was super tender down there for about the same. I'm 7 weeks post today, just finished my first pp period and finally feeling back to normal down there.
