Social Media Death of Relationships?

I read a lot of stories on this app about relationship drama regarding social media (Example: my boyfriend added her on instagram, caught my boyfriend snap chatting an ex, etc). Can I just say, neither my husband or myself have any type of social media (no Facebook, instagram, Snapchat) and we have absolutely no one interfering in our marriage whatsoever. We have no drama at all and we are so happy and never talk about getting any type of it back (I deleted mine before I got married 3 years ago, he never really had any). Could social media be the death of relationships? What do you guys think? Do you think if you and your SO did not have social media you would be less worried?

I think social media is the death of immature, insecure, jealous, toxic, and just overall bad relationships. If the relationship is strong, secure, and mature (for both people), then social media isn’t an issue at all. That’s how I see it and I stand by it 🤷🏻‍♀️

My DH and I both have social media. It has literally never been an issue. It’s not an issue if you don’t let it be one. Respect, communication, trust should all be present in a relationship at all times. 
I don’t think social media is the issue, I think how people use it/handle it is 
If your worried over what your partner is doing on social media, then the issue is deeper than that and even if you delete it, something else will eventually come along that causes you to worry again. Social media isn’t the root of the issue

I read a study somewhere that people who tend to overshare about their relationship on social media (posting excessive amounts of pictures, writing statuses about them, etc.) actually have a higher chance of breaking up or being in an unhappy relationship.

Me and my boyfriend both have most social media although he barely uses any besides Snapchat and I don’t use them a whole lot either. We completely trust each other though and I think that’s the only reason it doesn’t have much of an effect on our relationship. But at the very beginning there was a few moments of “oh who’s that girl/guy?” type of thing. I more find it to be more problematic with how distracting it can be. We always make a point to put our phones down when we are with each other. I always see couples out at dinner and stuff with their heads buried in their phones and it drives me insane.

Hmm everyone’s relationship is different. When me and my so had social media’s like Instagram and Facebook. There was always drama. Either his ex interfering with our relationship or either my EX. As soon as we got rid of our social media our relationship has been great.
