Moving in with boyfriend on base.

My boyfriend was recently stationed at his military first base for his new orders. We've been together for a year and a half. I really want to start a life with him and move in with him so we don't have to deal with the distance. I'd move in with him no matter the circumstance, but I wanted to get some advice on it. I'm staying in my hometown to finish my geneds, but after that I will be transferring to a university. I've brought up the idea to him and he seems to like the idea of living together, but I feel so nervous bringing it up as something I want for us!
