Can I eat runny eggs while pregnant??

I wouldn’t change it but I’m overly cautious. I’ve read the eggs should be fully cooked. I saw someone recently ask this question on here said they’ve been doing it from the start and so far nothing bad has happened. It’s really your own preference and how risky you are. Yesterday I was at a baby shower food was deli wraps, romaine and lettuce type of salad. She filled her plate with the deli wrap and salad— I settled for the bite sized hot sandwich with deli in it. I feel guilty having deli even warmed lol. She made a comment that I was to overly cautious You need to do what’s best for yourself. Chances are everything is going to be fine if you have that runny egg or deli sandwich, but it’s the chance of something going wrong that scares me.

Yeah they are safe to eat now aslong as they are british lion stamped and you eat them within the time guidlines. I've eaten eggs (runny and hard) during my pregnancy and I have an active little kicker. I'm just over 33 weeks now 😊

I very specifically asked about this at my first appointment since I love a super runny egg. My ob said so long as they are pasturized its fine, make sure the whites are fully cooked though. Most eggs in the us are pasturized, but it will say on the container.

depends on where you live. I think the general US advice is not to eat them but Britain has pregnancy safe eggs and I've eaten runny eggs through 1 2/3 pregnancies in Norway.

My doctor told me no this pregnancy. Which I was never told that with my first at the same doctors office.. so I don’t know lol.

I know Britain has safe eggs, I’m living in Holland now and am not so sure of the situation here (the farming here can be very intensive) so I haven’t risked it. I’m sure it would be fine but I’m erring on the side of caution. I’ve been hard boiling them and man I would love a runny egg 😄
