I know this sounds stupid...

But can you be pregnant with a negative test? I know that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out, for the past few weeks I've been having serious pregnancy symptoms but I took a test and it came back negative. About a week and a half ago I started experiencing really terrible nausea, and I can't keep anything down. I haven't been able to keep any food in my system for a week and a half. I went to the doctor who was convinced I was pregnant so he took a test, but he said it was negative. I thought doctor tests took a while but he came back in two minutes. Anyway now all of a sudden my breasts are really swollen and hurt so bad, especially my nipples, no matter what kind of bra - or no bra - I wear. I haven't heard from my doctor since I had some tests done since they've been closed the last couple of days. I don't know what's wrong with me and maybe I'm being crazy but even my boyfriend asked me if I was pregnant. Everyone I talk to thinks my symptoms mean I'm pregnant, but the doctor said the test was negative. I'm wondering if I should get a home test but assuming it'll just be negative too I don't want to waste my money. I'm so confused.
