Is it weird to have photos displayed in your home from life before your SO?

I have shadow boxes with memorabilia and photos (of scenery) hanging in my hallway from all of the trips I have been on to different countries.  Some trips were with my SO but most are from before we met.  He thinks it's weird for me to have the ones from before we were together.  He acts like it is a personal affront to him.  I don't get it.  Am I wrong to have these?  I get compliments on them all the time from other people.

if my husband died or me i would hope the photos would stay in memory of me(for our son) .also ,to show  how much love we had for each other.

that's not weird at all!! our photos are mixed from our past and us together. I have pictures of my family and when we went on vacation and he has pictures when he was in the military and his family. I'm proud of them all because it defines who we are
