I did it! And you can too

Three weeks ago I finally graduated from college with a BA in Business Management!! It took 4.5 years, 3 colleges, working full time throughout the whole 4.5 years, and a lot of support from friends and family.

This is something I never thought I would ever do to be honest. I remember being one quarter away from graduating with my AA at a community college and my advisor was highly encouraging me to go to a 4-year. I didn’t see it. I thought it was a waste of time and money when I had no clue where I wanted to go in life and what I wanted to do.

After I finished my AA, I took that next quarter off to actually figure out what the heck I wanted to do. And then it hit me, I wanted to follow my dreams to become a Graphic Design Artist. I found the PERFECT college just 20 minutes away from where I lived (still with my parents) and to my surprise, I got in with flying colors! I had gotten into a private University to follow my dreams and life was looking up!

The second day of classes, every single student and staff member were called to a meeting where they told us the school had run out of money and couldn’t afford to keep their doors open. They would be closing at the end of the semester. So that was it. I thought it was over. That I would never go back and finish my 4 year even though I had already invested a lot of money and time to finish school. I took a lot of guts for me to buck up and continue, but I did it.

The next semester after our college closed, I had been accepted into another private University, but this time for business management. Two years later, lots of student loans, and moving in with my boyfriend, I DID IT. And I paid off my loans already.

So NEVER GIVE UP. No matter what situation you’re going through when you have the feeling of giving up, don’t do it! Work hard, think positive, and show the world that you’ve got this!!
