Montessori bed sleeping

has anyone had experience with this sleeping arrangement for baby. we plan to use a bassinet until baby can roll over, my husband and I have been tinkering with the idea of passing in the crib and allowing our child to enjoy experiencing freedom to learn to sleep soundly close to the floor, to allow for exploring their environment without the worries of them crawling from the crib. my daughter once she could stand then figured out how to throw herself overboard to play and explore. I worried she'd break something so I switched her to her big girl bed before age one. now with the new one in the way we are thinking to just pass and start with a twin bed on the floor with child friendly minimum furniture and toys and a bolster to keep baby safely in bed until they can crawl.
