Your favorite child?!

Question

Almost everyone I know with more than one child has an obvious favorite.  And most of them were the first born. So I was thinking it would be interesting to see what you guys would honestly say about your kids or even siblings! Who’s your favorite?!

Honestly? I have 5 children and number 6 in the making.. I can hand on my heart with absolutely no doubt in my mind say that I do not have a favorite child. My kids range in ages from 12-22 (and obviously not forgetting little squiggle at 9w5d).
I have favorite bits about them, and I love them in different ways for their differences and similarities. I don't have a "go to" child. They are so remarkably different in their personalities it would be difficult to choose a favorite.
My eldest - very much like me, same sense of humor, likes the same films, music, food drinks as me. He's my instant pick me up - he knows me incredibly well. He's my favorite bc he real talks me, can put me at ease but also tell me off. My wing man.
Second eldest - complete polar opposite to me, slapstick sense of humor, totally different taste in music & films, really good cook! He's a very pragmatic practical person, everything has to be ordered and simple/straightforward, amazing with budgets and money. He's my favorite bc he can talk about politics one second and the very next be recalling a beautiful childhood memory. My scoot, can turn my frown upside down in a heartbeat.
My daughter - has a global developmental delay, so while she is 14 she actually closer to a 7yo in every aspect. She spends most of her time in her own little bubble world. Still believes in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, still plays with dollies and dress up. Never has a smile off her face. A true inspiration (huge amount of health issues and so many hospital stays I've lost count!) ... she's my favorite because she reminds me every single day to stop and see the beauty in things, to remember why we rush around and do everything, she is my favorite bc she taught me how to be a better person.
My twins - chalk and cheese - completely different personalities. One is a live wire wild and free, loves the outdoors and sports, mischief and mayhem, the other is an academic - always got his head in a book or looking something up on the computer etc. One is very empathetic, the other selfish as sin. They are my favorites - the empath bc he picks up on everyone's moods and always irons out any wrinkles, he's a helper, a doer, he likes to please and loves peace... my mischief maker bc he is so damn carefree, he actually takes life by the balls and completely owns it, his mission is to make sure everyone is happy and has a smile on their face - and if he can do that while tossing a ball or riding a bike etc then its all good xD
So... you see... and I'm so sorry it turned out so long.... I literally cannot have a favorite child 💕

I think it’s possible to have a different connection and love for each child. It’s easier to recognize it with your first because that’s your first baby. That connection is completely different.

told my SO that our 1st born was my favorite. he was like you can't have a favorite that's not fair. I told him go suck a lemon because dude is my favorite. he was (and still is) the sweetest thing, low maintenance, quiet and a natural comedian (he has the driest, sarcastic sense of humor and I LOVE IT 😁) we have a 2nd boy whose 2.5 (hes a sweetheart too but is the biggest cry baby I know) he has a 7yo boy from a previous relationship (omg, that dude is something else but hes kind hearted) and we're expecting our 1st girl which I believe she may be the chillest one of the bunch.

depends on the day and the child's behaviour. I love different things about each child. and they both have their faults which irritate me. Just go with the flow

I only have one so far (two on the way), but I always told my younger siblings that the firstborn is the favorite because the parents loved them the longest. I only say it to try and piss them off and my parents have always insisted they love us all equally. My brother is the baby of the family and the only boy and I’ve always thought he was kind of all of our favorite.

My first is my son. He is my only son. He saved me from a destructive path I was on and we have a bond. He’s a mommas boy. My daughter is my mini she is my little sidekick. And the baby girl is the baby, she’s gonna have tons of love from everyone as the littlest. They are all my favorite for their own special reasons.
