Zika in Atlanta Georgia ???

Question

My husband and I are supposed to go to Georgia at the end of June...he has a business trip so I’m tagging along to take a break from work. Anyone know if there have been any reported cases of Zika in Georgia this year or if they are likely to get some? My OB told me it was unlikely our state would see Zika this year and there haven’t been any reported cases this year.

I’m from Georgia and we have not heard of any! We were just told to avoid tropical places like Mexico. And idk if Miami is still on that list. 
Anyone from Miami heard about Zika outbreaks this year?

Just wear Deep woods DEET. You’ll be fine. Your husband should wear it too as Zika can be passed back and forth. I think the risk is low but better safe then sorry. DEET is safe in pregnancy.

I'm also from Georgia and have not been told or heard anything about Zika here. I just wear bug spray when I'm outside. My aunt lives in Atlanta and said they put something in the sewers and spray to help cut down on mosquitos.
