Can’t make enough milk
I gave birth to my little girl twelve days ago. She was born at twenty nine weeks and five days. She’s thirty one weeks and three days today and in the nicu. She has to have breast milk, and at first I was doing great. But now I’m lucky to get fifteen milliliter out of each side sometimes. I’ve tried the blue Powerade, drinking more fluids, the Lactation cookies, the massages, I feel like I’ve tried it all and I still am not making enough. You can’t do the videos of your baby crying in the nicu because no recording is allowed, photos only. I feel like this is the only thing I can do for her really, and I can’t even do that. She’s already had to have donor breast milk because my milk wasn’t keeping up. They told me by milk is what best for her because there’s more in calories and should be easier on her stomach. Is there anything else I can try? I really need to make more milk.
Ps, my breast feel full and even hardish, but even when I pump they still feel that way and nothing wants to come out
I just pumped and made like five milliliters from each side, I really feel defeated. We bought almonds and protein bars with almonds because I seen those also help, and I’m pretty sure the more I try, the less milk I’m getting
