I’m 22 weeks pregnant and I keep getting tonsil stones, is this normal and what does everyone do about them?

I have huge tonsils w/ deep crypts from getting strep so many times in my life, so tonsil stones are something I'm used to. But since I've been pregnant they've greatly increased! One thing that helps to keep them at bay is brushing my teeth, using mouthwash, and then very lightly spraying my tonsils out with a water pick or bent syringe. Also, there are certain foods that are more prone to getting stuck in there and turning into a full blown tonsil stone. (Chips are one of those foods for me.) So avoiding those foods helps too.

it's normal. tonsil stones are just waste (or toxins if you prefer to call them) in your mouth and throat that's your body is attacking and getting rid of. they suck trying to cough up/swollow. but gargling with salt water or apple cider vinegar works.
