Ignorance: “beached whale”

I’m 20 and having my first child. My immediate family is supportive and happy but some of my extended family has their own opinions. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and spent memorial weekend at the lake with my whole family (great aunts&uncles;). I bought a new maternity suit for the occasion since I didn’t feel comfortable in a bikini. We were swimming and floating next to the boat and one of my aunts said “look at that beached whale on the floatie” like what the f**k dude. I’ve gained 10lbs. I’m 2 months away from my due date. Of course I look pregnant. But like I used to be skinny and I’ve felt sort of insecure in my body with all the changes it’s been making to grow this beautiful life. I don’t know it’s just bothering me. Like who the hell actually says that to a pregnant woman, ANY woman for that matter. I’ve been fuming about it for the past 24hrs like I just can’t handle it. Wtf. Anyone else dealt with ignorant pig headed comments from others? How did you handle them? I don’t know why it’s bothering me so much but damn.
