Dating scan or LMP?

I know it doesn’t matter if it’s a couple days back. But my first dating scan was at 7 weeks. I was 5 days behind. Then I did 20 week scan they said 3 days behind. My gp says go by LMP. Midwife saying dating scan. I’m just abit confused.

Mine so far have been pretty in between the LMP and the early scan.. right now I measure 8 day more which is about the my LMP scan puts me at a week less . With my 1st I delivered on my LMP date the scan said I week more. My 2nd was really early so but technically only 2weeks before LMP and 3 weeks from scan. I’ve also heard after the. 1st the one after come sooner, but who knows 🤔

My LMP is 5 days behind my dating scan. My OB has my due date going by my LMP. A few days isn’t really worth changing the due date for them, especially since babies are rarely born on their due date anyway. It’s basically an educated guess.
