ladies please enlighten me ?! does this actually work ? do you think 37 weeks is to early to try to induce labor ?

sex worked for me for my second pregnancy.  and i had both my children at 37 weeks. one was 9lbs other 7.5lbs.

My doctor told me at my 37 week checkup , that sex is good for soften the cervix and helping with dilation. So , in my opinion 36weeks is a good time to start . I’ve done it my whole pregnancy and I’m only 1 1/2 dilated . . Never hurts to try 🤷🏽‍♀️

I am still early but my doctor was telling me that semen has a hormone in it that will soften the cervix. She said around 36 weeks that’s when I should have more sex to help things along

Depending on where you live and what your hospital considers full term, personally when I live my doctor considers 37 weeks still premature and 39/40 weeks to be full term. At 37 weeks most babies will have matured lungs but that’s not the case for all, they all grow at different rates. Your baby will come when ready it’s literally up to them they send out a hormone when they are fully grown and ready to come out which is when you start to go into labor.
