Baby's clothes etc.

When did you start buying clothing for your baby and other things? I'm quite superstitious and worry I'll jinx myself and lose my little lady. And I've known a lot of people lose their babies right up to the last minute so I'm scared of preparing incase I (in some strange way) cause a problem. when did you start buying????
