How many baths a week?

We were doing 2/week, but now that he’s mobile and eating (read: wearing) food, I feel like we need to increase it, but I also don’t want to dry him out.  How many baths are your 8-9 month old getting a week?

At this point you won’t dry him out like you would when he was tiny. You could give him one every night if you wanted. But who has the energy for that? I’ve got 2 - 2 and under - and they both get maybe 2/3 a week. Maybe.

Every other night, but lately has been every night. I have a 2 year old as well and we are always playing outside using sunscreen and it’s been hot and humid so the kids have gotten sweaty. I don’t want my babies to go to sleep with the sweat and chemicals from sunscreen or the pool or dirt from the park etc on their skin so they get a bath a lot more often lately.

when my daughter was smaller we bathed her just once a week, not to dry out her skin. but then he got two small dry patches on her arm (eczema) and we went to the doctor and he gave us this: avene xeracalm (bath and lotion) and it is GREAT 🤗 we cream her with the lotion every morning and every evening and we do also make a short (5min) bath with this product EVERY EVENING and her skin is soooo well and now when its summer and they are more mobile and (like you said) start to eat i wouldn't feel comfortable to bath her just once or twice a week

We've been bathing our little one every evening as part of bed time routine ever since she was born and have been appling a lot of lotion afterwards (also Aveno fans).
