Should you finish the pack before getting off?

I’d love to stop right now but I just started a new pack this week. Does it help better to wait till after your next period or does it matter whether you stop mid pack or finish it?

I stopped my pills without finishing the pack. There was no change to my period or how I ovulated, currently 34 weeks pregnant (got pregnant 8 months after I stopped).

I have read it can affect your ovulation if you don't finish the pack. So I finished my last pack.
