Transvaginal at 9 weeks?

I will be getting my first ultrasound next week when I will be exactly 9 weeks and was wondering if they will do a transvaginal ultrasound or a stomach ultrasound? just curious

by 9 weeks they should be doing a re regular stomach ultrasound. however, it just depends with your doctor

My doctor tries abdominal first and then does vaginal if they need to. I’ve only ever had abdominal u/s.

Most likely. I didn’t get my first regular ultrasound until 12 weeks.

They tried an abdominal one first but ultimately did a transvaginal one. I was glad they did despite it being uncomfortable— the picture was SO much clearer!

I was 8 weeks 4 days and they did a transvaginal. I’ve seen people say they’ve had transvaginal even at 10 weeks.  I think it might depend just on the doctor.
