hey guys! so I am 7 weeks pregnant. had my first scan on Tuesday and everything looks good. I got diagnosed with hypothyroid disease a few months back when I started seeing a fertility specialist. they put me on meds and didn't check again, so when I got pregnant I requested they take my levels again. they are still very high at 3.77 and I had to check in to see if they needed to up my dose! they doubled it. I'm pretty annoyed I had to request and do all of that on my own but at least this should help now. I was feeling relieved after seeing a heartbeat this week but now the more research I'm doing the more freaked out I am about my TSH levels... I've read that it can cause miscarriage and that it can effect baby's brain development. anyone else have high tsh in early pregnancy? would love to know if anyone else was given more information on it's effects!! I'm sure my levels will drop soon enough and I am getting it checked in 4 weeks, but I am just hoping we caught it early enough to keep baby healthy!
