Breastfeeding and Outdated Attitudes

I am currently all fired up about a comment I saw on a friend's post. I am a new mom to a 2.5 month old boy. Nursing to me is a beautiful thing and something that needs to be normalized to some extent still in the area I live in. Many people still act as if it's a topic to be whispered about simply because it involves breasts.

Of course, everyone is entitled to like/dislike posts that they see - but I honestly feel that many people in this area do not continue with breastfeeding because of attitudes like this which make it something to be almost ashamed of. Would this have bothered you as a new mom?
