Hi ladies, do you have to go to the doctors when you find out you're pregnant for confirmation and to do a general checkup? or do you have to wait until 8 weeks?

You can still call to tell them and they’ll schedule an appointment. I had mine done at 6w and had my first ultrasound around 8.

Each office seems to have a different practice. I called mine at 5 weeks and was sent for a blood test to confirm. Once they got the results, they scheduled my first OB exam/appointment for 12 weeks.

Mine made me come do a test for them to have it official. Then the 8 week apt was just for paperwork and they gave me packets of info

A lot of office don’t confirm pregnancy. Most OB’s will see you when you’re 8-12 weeks along at that point the go over your family history and run tests then.
