Do you eat goat meat?
So I've recently found out that people in the UK have some sort of aversion to the thought of goat meat.
Lamb meat is very well liked here, and it is also a bit on the expensive side so I consider it luxurious (for lack of a better, less dramatic word).
But I also see lamb meat and goat meat as sort of similar, so I was surprised when a lot of people I spoke to were surprised that I eat goat meat. They looked at me as if I said I eat canary birds or something.
There was a program on TV sometime ago about Jamie Oliver and he made a goat dish and let some chefs taste it. A lot of them were pleasantly surprised and I belive he's trying to push the industry so it becomes more normalised to eat goat meat, as there are goats in the UK but for whatever reason they don't get reared for meat like lamb/sheep does.
Anyway, whether you're in UK or not, are you open to eating goat meat or is it a no no?
