I need your help since I don’t know what to do.

I have a daughter that I have raised by myself for 7 years.  Baby daddy was just a few months in my child’s life. He got married and basically has never had contact with us except for birthdays that he wants to see his “daughter”. Last month I told him that he would not see her since she doesn’t know him. She thinks that my ex-boyfriend is her dad. Now that she is older she has been asking why she has a different last name. I decided to tell her, so I talked to her dad, but he doesn’t want to see her.

I asked him if he doesn’t want to be in my daughter’s life at least sign the papers to get her passport or sign over his rights.

GIRLS IS THIS THE RIGHT THING TO DO ON MY SIDE? I told him that the way he doesn’t even have to worry about child support, but he said that even if he sign over his rights he would still help me financially.
