Losing hair?!!!

Okay you guys. my boyfriend casually mentioned I looked like I had a bald spot and I have been noticing more fall out when I comb after conditioning but didn't think anything of it because I have a lot of hair. it wasn't until I took a really good look that I noticed my hair was really thinning and gone around the crown of the head. Holy crap. I've already made an appointment with my GYN but that isn't going to bring my hair back right away. I don't take any other medications. Are there any ways to counteract this side effect other than taking the IUD out? I've had it since February and aside from this and some darker hairs on my face I have to pluck out I love the IUD. I'm so upset
