Baby Shower Thank You Cards

We just had our first baby shower but we have another next month which is 3 weeks before the due date. My husband came up with an idea for the baby shower thank you cards. Instead of handwriting about 125 cards (our families are HUGE) we would send a thank you card with a general message along with the birth announcement to everyone so not only do we thank everyone but we introduce our little one to our families. I am torn with the idea. I love the idea of not writing each card out but then I feel bad that I didn’t write them out. In the past, we have received a post card with a simple thank you and handwritten cards from our families and friends. Anyone thoughts?
