When to start your birth plan?

I know that birth plans don’t always work out but I have to plan everything out before the day comes or I have serious anxiety about it. So would it be too early to start a birth plan at 16 weeks or should I wait?

I've started working on one now and I'm 30 weeks, its really helped me feel more comfortable and confident about the birth. 
Honestly if you think it will help you I dont think it can be too early.

You can start now. Just make a short list of bulleted points. Obviously plans don’t always fall through, but I think it’s good to have identified preferences.

me i didnt plan shit because even tho you have plans they wont always be followed and at that moment the only thing i was worried about was my son being born ok nothing else mattered

You could just have something simple so you don’t stress about it. Like mine is: give me all the drugs and get the baby out safely.

I don't think it's too early. just be prepared to change it if needed.
my birth plan since day one, is to have a water birth at home, if possible. also no epidural, other drugs I'm open to, I just really like my waterbirth with my first, so I want it again.

I would wait, I never wrote one as I was advised not to keep an open mind!
