I want to start using tampons but have absolutely no clue on anything.

It shouldn’t hurt, you should barely feel it. If it feels uncomfortable or hurts, then it is probably not inserted correctly. Just try again :)

if you dont get it up there far enough it can hurt. also, when I first started using them I would rub baby oil on the applicator to make it much easier to insert

it did for me but I was a virgin and still had a hymen. now after sex doesn't hurt at all.

It hurt when I took it out , I guess it wasn’t full enough but I never touched one again after that 😂😂

Not really. You just have to make sure you insert it the right way. If it’s not inserted up far enough then you will feel mild discomfort. It might take a few tries until you get it just right, but don’t give up!
