I guess technically you can request for whatever you want. That doesn’t sound logical or reasonable though. Are you just going to wait for females to become available if their are only males free at the moment to help you?

Yes, to an extent. If babe is coming and the only doc/midwife available is male 🤷🏻‍♀️ or there may not be a female anesthesiologist and you want epidural....

I'm sure you can request but that doesn't mean you'll get it. If you have complications and the only ob on call is make, what do you want them to do?

I bit you can but I don’t know if you will get it.  Baby come when they come. You may be in labor but have a male doctor or nurse or any number of doctor/people.  
I pretty sure you can say I want all female

Yes, you can. If you're comfortable telling them the reason why, do. My hospital is very kind towards sexual assault survivors. If that's your reason, it's okay to tell them. 
Don't be rude to them if they can't 100% accommodate your request. I had all female nurses, a male anesthesiologist and a male delivered my daughter. I didn't make any sort of request though. They wouldn't be able to accommodate the male OB who delivered. He just happened to be the one on rotation.
