Anyone have a delivery plan they would like to share?

I know things won't go absolutely according to plan, but I wanna know what you guys would LIKE to happen when you give birth and/or when you gave birth.

I want to do vaginal birth with the options of drugs. I want to labour on my own tho, not to be hocked up to everything unless necessary. I only want my husband in the room with me and people won’t be allowed in for the first 2-3 hours. I want baby placed on my chest right after and hubby to cut the cord. With video/pictures. If this is all possible great but I want to stay clear of a c-section if necessary.

If you look on the NCT website they have an example one, we used that and adjusted it to what we wanted. It covers lots of different scenarios which is good!

I have chosen to give birth at a birthing centre, I would like to not be moved across the street to the hospital during the birth (though I accept that’s a possibility). Birthing centre does not offer medical pain relief, or continuous monitoring. I’m free to do pretty much whatever I want during labor at the centre, there are only 3 birthing suits. I can eat, walk around in various forms of undress, use the tub. It’s just me and my husband and our midwives in the room, there are no visitors. The family can come visit at home after I’ve had time to recover.

this time I will be delivering in a hospital. previous one was birth center. my Dr is supportive of my plan.           the freedom to move through out labor, with intermittent monitoring. prefer water to break on its own. labor in water if I feel for it. limited cervical exams, and not during a contraction.   if augmentation is needed, to do breast pump first.  deliver in position I feel most comfortable in, not flat on back. delayed cord clamping. baby on chest. at least an hr with baby before they take baby to do what they do. we bathe baby. and I have a contingency plan in place.

We used the template from Mama Natural. So much of it fit our philosophies and preferences that it was easy to adapt to us. When it came time though, I had about as opposite of a natural birth as medically possible. However, I still valued our plan and I’m glad we made it. I think it helped give us as close to the birth we wanted as possible given the medical circumstances we were dealt.
