Latching help

My son is a week old and all of a sudden since two nights ago he has been fussy and refusing to latch and eat. I’ve never supplemented or anything in a bottle. I do use a nipple shield. I can’t seem to wonder why all of a sudden he doesn’t want to eat. Also I have been having to wake him up to eat as well because he has been sleeping through his usual feeding times which was any where from 30 mins to 2 hours, 3 the most but very rarely. Now if I let him he’ll sleep more than three hours since last night I forgot to put an alarm and it was almost 5 hours since last feeding!:( and I woke him up and he was calm until I put him to my breast.

I know it’s not my supply I have plenty of milk for him in fact I think my flow might be too fast for him bc after every feeding there’s still a lot of milk inside my shield. And milk dripping all over his face/my body. Any suggestions?! I’m starting to consider to run to store and buy a bottle I’d rather risk him not taking a breast and taking bottle instead of starving. (I’ll be pumping of course)
