heart break

I dated this guy for 3yrs, helped him achieve his goals,I loved him and gave him everything I had (my time, money and body ). in fact he meant the world to me and my family loved him too ,only for him to break up with me 2 months after our third anniversary saying he doesn't love me anymore and that broke me and hurt me badly.And 6 months down the line I have a new suitor and im scared to accept his proposal because he has the same name as my ex. Even though he has proven to care for me and love me ,my heart is too scared to love again. should I take that risk with him?
