Am I pregnant?

So Ive been on BC for at least 4 years(different types), and recently got off of all of it. I had one normal period last month, but now I’m 3 days late for my next one. We have had sex at least a few times a week, and used spermicide foam and/or condoms. Am I pregnant? The late period is freaking me out.

Spermicide foam is only 70% effective. That means 30 out of every 100 women will still fall pregnant using it. So if you used it without a condom, then yes you could certainly be pregnant.

It can generally take 3-6 months for ur body to adjust to being off birth control. So, it’s completely normal for things to be thrown off during that time. However, spermicide on it’s own isn’t very effective. So, if ur really not wanting to get pregnant, then it’s best to always use it with another method (spermicide+condoms Or spermicide+cervical sponge), or just stick with condoms.

I had a normal bleed then went 94 days without another period it’s possible it’s just from the lack of fake hormones. My period is still abnormal a year later and I’ve only had 3 cycles since getting off of the birth control. Good luck
