We had an awards banquet for all of our accomplishments in the past year. I went up and got my awards, and marching band wasn’t in there due to regulations on participating in 4/5 summer parades plus the mandated ones. My director knew my shop had burned down

So I missed two summer parades but he still followed those regulations. I was really upset, so I asked my mom if I could leave, not knowing that I had another award. It was a plaque for sportsmanship and they refused to give it to me the next day because I wasn’t there to receive it, I was there for all of the ceremony, but because I missed the last few minutes I don’t get it at all. Now it will be thrown in the trash and my hard work will be thrown away with it. I’m so upset.
