which day are you suppose to start temping on??

help me! 1st month trying to chart bbt.. I ordered my thermometer from Amazon it got here on day 4 of bleeding on my period.. so inwas able to start that next morning which was Cycle Day 5.                     is cycle day 5 okay to start temping?

Everyday. Start tomorrow morning. It’s best to be able to see the entire cycle.

As long as you don’t have super short cycles like 21 days, you are definitely ok to start temping right now. I sometimes skip the first 5 days or so of my cycle temping so it gives me a little break from temping but I know I have about 29-30 day cycle and starting temping at 5 days is plenty time before ovulation to see the data I need. I wouldn’t recommend doing that until you learn your cycle so you don’t miss important days in determining ovulation. But you’re ok this cycle still!

It’s good to start straight away, no matter where you are in you’re cycle. It helps you get into the routine at least. Temp every day :)
