Today marks 3 weeks since my baby boy was born!! May 10th I went to the hospital at 36 weeks due to contractions every 2 minutes lasting 75 seconds but they weren't progressing and I wasn't dilating so i was sent home. After a week of having consistent contractions I woke up in pain that I could hardly stand. we headed back to the hospital to be told I still want in "labor" because my cervix hadn't changed. After my husband got mouthy with the nurse we left to go home....again. by this point I was in tears because of pain and frustration. this was the second pregnancy I had done the same exact thing with. I knew I was in labor and I knew I would need help but the doctors were refusing to help me. so we decide to stop across the street to get some breakfast and my phone rings. it was the hospital...I'm thinking great they are gonna fuss about my husband saying they wouldn't help me unless I was dying...the doctor had just got a chance to look at my file and she decided that because my blood pressure was elevated, they were going to induce me. after my water being broken and 4 hours of pitocin the doctor checked me again and I still hadn't dilated. the doctor discovered that I had a disappearing twin so I had to waters to break....I told them that to begin with because my second pregnancy was a disappearing twin also. about 9 PM the epidural seemed to be wearing off because with every contraction I would hurt so bad that I was in tears and began feeling pressure so after 10 pushes my beautiful baby was born at 9:29 PM.
