Decreased fetal movement a sign labor is near?

His movements are within a safe range but so much less than normal, my husband and I really had to coax movement from him. Can this be a sign that labor is near or is this an issue?

Baby has a lot less room in there now. My son is moving much less than he was. He passed two of the last three ultrasound monitoring scans that I get with flying colors (gestational diabetes), but the last one he took a bit longer to pass due to decreased movement and taking longer to practice his breathing.

I don't know if it is a sign or not, but the morning that I gave birth I failed my NST due to decreased fetal movement and she was here a few hours later. Either way I would call your doctor about it.

It is a HUGE misunderstanding and myth that baby “runs out of room” any time you have decreased fetal movement you need to be seen.
