How do you deal with a spirited child?

How do you balance discipline vs stifling their curiosity. Oh and the screams when we are indoors. My girl got a great set of pipes when things don’t go her way.

I prefer to let my daughter handle being upset in her own ways. if she has to scream and let her frustrations out I just let her and then I talk to her and I ask her what's wrong. if it's something I told her she can't do and she's upset there's not much I can do to help her other than distract her with something else. I rather redirect her to something else than get upset or raise my voice. o always try to remember that she is a baby and she does not understand alot of things and only with age will she start to understand right from wrong and learn to work out her emotions.

I'm a big fan of "getting it out of their system" where I let my son explore something that he probably doesn't need to explore, but once he's done with it he just doesn't pay attention to it anymore.

Sometimes I just sit with her while she’s having a meltdown but not directly giving her eye contact or attention. I found that her behavior improves the more time she gets outside, which is great now that it’s warmer. I try to take things day by day.
