my 17 month old baby has just started freaking out at bedtime. it's not so much that she doesn't want to sleep. it's more that she won't let us put her in bed. apart from 4th month sleep regression and even waking up sometimes around 10 months, since then she has always been ok to go to bed awake either after a breastfeed or a cuddle. now it just takes hours of us cuddling her and she falls asleep but screams when we put her in bed. she cries and cries her eyes out. a bit like panic attacks. it doesn't sound like a fake cry. but what can we do ? she can't sleep on us all night long. she needs to sleep because she's up at 5 am. before she was asleep at 7.30 pm. now it's 8.30 and she's still up at 5 am (used to be 6). it honestly feels like I'm looking after a newborn. I've tried letting her cry a bit but she's just too upset. anybody been through this ? I'm worried and so tired. even thinking of taking her to the doctor's to check no thing's physically wrong with her. OR is this simply a regression ? it's insane. I've never seen her like this other than when she was little.
