Sterilizing new jewelry?

Does anyone know how to properly and safely sterilize brand new jewelry from Hot Topic? I am only really adamant about sterilizing the jewelry because it’s for nipple piercings and I’m not taking ANY chances to get an infection. Comments are appreciated!

Rubbing alcohol and rinse with hot water.

Rubbing alcohol should be fine. If you want to actually sterilize it, take it to a shop and ask to autoclave it. 
Keep in mind acrylic cannot be in an autoclave and if you use alcohol on it, it will break down its structure and become weak.
