First time mom here - So im currently 39w + 3d this coming Saturday is my EDD. At last weeks high risk appointment I was made away that unbeknownst to me I was having mild contractions and my Dr had said that he didnt want me going past 40w and would send over this info to my regular ob. Later that day at my regular ob I found out that I was 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. Mind you this was LAST weeks when I was 38w.

So now being only 4 days away, I havent felt any more contraction (that I know of, didnt even identify the first set) and my water hasnt broken. Before my next appointment on thursday im just wondering if anyone has ever gone through this? With the doctor saying they dont want you to go past your DD? And if you have been induced in any way how it was for you? I cam only google search so much. Also, if theres any questions or concerns I should voice to my Drs.

Also-just incase you were wondering, I see the high risk because my husband has a genetic heart defect. It very rarely shows up in children, only ever manifesting in adulthood. Ive had an EXTREMELY easy pregnancy, blood pressure has been great throughout, no issues what so ever. Only went to the high risk so they could moniter babys heart to make sure the defect wasnt present.
