WHAT TO WEAR DURING LABOR

So I'm really worried about what I'll be wearing during labor, like when I give birth because I used to self harm and have so many scars on my upper thighs, they're not so low that they can be seen if I wear shorts (regular shorts not short shorts Hollister type of shorts lol) so I don't know if that part will be exposed with the hospital gown. I don't want to be fully exposed and I don't really want that to be the time that my mom sees them and starts asking when I did this and why, it's just something in the past that I don't do anymore and I rather it be kept a secret. Will I be completely naked from the bottom half during labor? I've some videos where women have like a sheet over their knees but others have their legs pushed so far up into their shoulders that there isn't one and it's just the gown riding up. I know I probably won't care during birth lol but for now I'd just like some peace of mind that I can wear something aside from a hospital gown that'll hide my scars a bit.
