Tell on her or keep her secret?

My 17 year old cousin is pregnant and hasn't gone to the doctor or told anyone she is pregnant except me and her bf. her mom is crazy strict and she is scared to tell her. she is graduated from high school already. i just feel guilty keeping it a secret. i feel like i should tell her older sister

It's her place to tell them. But, in the mean time you can take her to the health department for a check up and to get prenatals that she may need to try to help.

u go tell someone on her behalf and she won't tell u anything again. that's a betrayal of trust. u need to explain to her the complications of not seeing a Dr and getting proper care and then listen to her reason for not telling her sister (I assume she would be the better person to tell based on what u have said) at least with sister on board they can approach their mum together and she doesn't have to do it alone. first thing to address is the importance of seeing a Dr though. she needs to make sure the baby is doing ok and she gets all the tests and vaccines she needs throughout x

I think the best thing you can do is be supportive of her. Take her to the doctor to get appropriate prenatal care, make sure she’s taking care of herself and baby. When she’s ready or when she’s showing, she’ll tell people. Just be her friend right now

in one hand, its her secret to tell. on the other hand though, since she is underage she cannot legally be the guardian of the baby. so her parents need to know that they will have to take care of a baby or look into adoption (assuming it is too late to abort).

How far along is she? I know it’s fucked up, but if the fetus is going to be negatively impacted by her lack of care, I would tell her parents. She is a minor and I’m fairly positive you can get charged with neglect for not getting medical care during your pregnancy. Maybe talk to her first about it though.

it is her place. you cant do it for her, but you should concince her to tell at least 1 more person. A doctor. its nice if she tells other people but especially if shell be 18 by the time of birth its up to her. just make sure she gets some support from you, goes to all the doc appointmemts and figures out a plan bc if shell keep it someone need to take care of that baby and it will cost her a lot of money. at 17 i doubt her and her bf have made a carreer.... if she doesnt want to tell your parents maybe they can start with his? if they are more open ofc!
