So I’m definitely not done at all and I’m in the beginning stages I wanted to show y’all what I drew and what the original picture looks like it’s not my picture but yeah I am open to critiques

One tip that I’ve learned and I think really helps is that you should draw your eyes step by step for each one at a time. For example: draw the outline on the left eye, then the right eye. Draw your pupil and highlights on the left then the right. This helps make them even so one doesn’t look different from the other.

instead of shading entirely then lightening certain areas I'd suggest starting light then darkening where necessary. also, not every detail requires an outline, shade it out. I don't know if any of what I said makes sense but hey... either way you're off to a good start 😊

I think you’re off to a great start! I would maybe start my outlines a little lighter maybe with a 2h pencil? And then just focusing on shading.
